Live Well
Greater Manchester is investing £4.8m of funding to help older people live well in their communities.
The pioneering Live Well in Later Life programme strengthens support for older people near to where they live, an approach that is already having a positive impact across the city region. It will deliver on Greater Manchester’s Age-friendly Strategy and the Greater Manchester Strategy’s commitment to Everyday Support in Every Neighbourhood.
Live Well in Later Life is growing and spreading the learning from the Ageing in Place Pathfinder (2022-2025).
If you live in Miles Platting, Newton Heath or nearby areas, this is your chance to share what life is really like where you live -and help make it better!
We’re working with local residents, community groups and volunteer partners to build spaces where people can stay active, connected, independent and involved as they grow older.
If you’re 50 or over, we want to hear your ideas, experiences and hopes for the future of your neighbourhood.
» What’s it like to live here?
» What would make daily life easier, healthier or more enjoyable?
» How can residents, local organisations and services work better together?
